------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                                                          Week 1

The Mobile Madmen beat Mexico City (174.50 - 159.20) and put up the second-highest point total this week. This gives the Madmen their first ever win in franchise history! While both sides put out their best effort, Mobile Madmen scored 40.5% more points than projected (124.18) to pick up the win.

The Madmen were lead by Anquan Boldin who scored the second-most points in the league and beat his scoring projection by a league-leading 229.5%. With 36.80 points, Eli Manning had the fourth-highest score in the league this week. The 28.00 points scored by Larry Fitzgerald was the fifth-highest score by a WR in the league this week. The 25.90 points scored by LeSean McCoy was the third-highest score of any RB in the league this week. The Mobile Madmen had most of their starters beat their scoring projection (5 out of 9).

Some other interesting notes this week: the margin of victory of 15.30 points was the smallest in the league this week. Also the Madmen had two starters score more points than the highest-scoring starter for Mexico City.

The Madmen will look to carry this momentum into their week two match-up against Des Moines. Des Moines is in first place and also has a (1-0-0) record.

                                                          Week 2

The Madmen lost to the Des Moines Dukes (120.08 - 87.08) while the team struggled to put points on the board. It was not a good week for the Mobile Madmen at TE, where they were beaten 21.40 - 7.30. Five of the starters on Mobile Madmen scored less than their projected points. The Mobile Madmen also got a zero from Justin Tucker after expecting a projected 9.69-point total. After a monster first week, Anquan Boldin fell short of his scoring projection with 1.70 points, just 11.8% of his projected 14.37. The one bright spot for the team was the running backs who both scored above their projected points.

The Madmen will look to rebound in Week 3 as they take on the Las Vegas Mustangs who are also (1-1-0).

                            Week 3

The Madmen lost to the Las Vegas Mustangs (142.64 - 85.16) as the team again failed to score a respectable point total. The Las Vegas Mustangs benefited from 30.20 points from Jamaal Charles to easily dispatch the Mobile Madmen. It was an epic beating, and the 57.48-point margin of victory is the fourth-highest in the league this season. LeSean McCoy led Mobile Madmen with 21.80 points while Justin Tucker racked up 14.00. Eli Manning has been disappointing so far this season and it looks like a change may need to be made. The manager made a few bad decisions which cost the team some much needed points. Left Denarius Moore on the bench, where he scored 24.40 points and beat his projected point total by 225.8%, the fifth-highest percentage in the league this week. Also, should have started Andy Dalton, who underachieved, but still had more points than the starting QB with 17.70 against a projected 18.73. Seven of the nine starters scored less than their projected points. After their win the Las Vegas Mustangs (2-1, 425.26 points) climb into third place and Mobile Madmen (1-2, 346.74 points) drop to 10th place.

The Madmen look to stop the losing streak next week against the San Jose Honey Badgers.

                             Week 4

The Madmen couldn't stop the losing streak as they fell to the Honey Badgers 156.38 to 137.54. The Mobile Madmen gave it a good shot with a big increase in points compared to last week's 142.64 - 85.16 loss against Las Vegas Mustangs. However, it was still not enough as the Honey Badgers scored the second highest point total in the league this week. It was another bad week for the Mobile Madmen at Quarterback which has been a common theme throughout the season. If the Madmen could get someone competent under center they may have won more games to this point. The Madmen were outscored at the QB position 37.08 - 5.54. This was the big difference in the match up this week. One bright spot this week was the performance of Tony Gonzalez. He brought in one of the highest point totals of the season and looks to still be a force at the Tight End position even at the age of 37. While the Madmen still lost there were some positive signs this week. Hopefully the Madmen can keep the point totals up and get back on track.

Next week the Madmen will face the Toronto Beavers and will look to win for the first time since week 1.

                              Week 5

The Madmen were finally able to stop the down slide and get a win this week against the Beavers. The team was led this week by the defense of the 49ers who scored 22 points. The Mobile Madmen took the early lead, up 71.46 - 58.70 after the first set of Sunday games. After the late Sunday games, they lost that lead and fell behind 83.80 - 78.76. Sunday night came to an end with the Mobile Madmen up by 14.16 and they stayed on top through the rest of the match up. Another bright spot was Justin Tucker who had the highest score of any K in the league this season with 18.00 points. The San Francisco 49ers Defense had 22.00 points, the second-highest DEF score of the week and the fifth-highest score among DEF in the league this season. The Madmen also made a smart move by benching Andy Dalton, who had the lowest QB score on the team with 8.98 points. With 21.20 points, LeSean McCoy ranked seventh in scoring among all RBs in the league this week. And again, Tony Gonzalez had a great performance with 19.70 points, the fourth-highest score of any TE in the league this week.

The Madmen will look to carry this momentum into next weeks match up against the Omaha Bucks who have had a slow start to their season. The Madmen come in as the heavy favorites but, that doesn't mean anything is guaranteed.

                              Week 6

The Madmen were not able to live up to expectations and were defeated by the Omaha Bucks by the score of 112.68 to 137.50. Even with their poor record the Bucks were projected to beat the Madmen. The Omaha Bucks was the first to put points on the board and by Sunday was already in front 29.70 - 0. That lead faded away by the end of the early Sunday games and they trailed 75.28 - 67.00. The Omaha Bucks took the lead back during the late Sunday games and held on for the victory.

It has been a difficult year at Quarterback for the Madmen this year. However, it was a different story this week. Andy Dalton led the team with 31.18 points which was the highest score from a QB on the Madmen this year. However, the wide receiver core, which is normally reliable, was a big disappointment this week. The manager made a poor decision in benching Larry Fitzgerald who has been bothered by a hamstring injury. It was unknown if Fitzgerald would be out on the field this week which resulted in the benching by the Madmen. This turned out to be a bad decision not to start Fitzgerald, who beat his scoring projection with 22.10 points against a projected 12.39. Those extra points were the difference between a win and a loss this week. One of the most glaring parts of this match up was at WR, where the Madmen were outdone by Omaha 41.80 - 15.90. Five of the Madmen's starters scored under projection and that was key part to the loss this week.

While the Madmen were unable to win this week they hope to turn it around in week 7 against the Vancouver Goldminers who come in with the same record.

                               Week 7

The Madmen were able to pull out a victory this week even after more poor decision from their manager. The Mobile Madmen defeated the Vancouver Goldminers by a score of 95.10 to 89.18. Both teams scored well under their projections this week. The Madmen got lucky this week as they were still able to pull out a win with only 2 of their 9 starters exceeding their projected points. The 49ers defense is on a hot streak as they have outperformed their projections in four straight weeks. This match up came down the Monday night game only because two of the Madmen's best performers were on the bench. Andy Dalton, who scored his highest point total of the season, was not in the starting lineup this week. Also, Harry Douglas a new pickup for the Madmen, scored 27.9 points on the bench. Despite these mistakes the Madmen were able to catch a break and pull out the win. Andy Dalton seems to have secured his spot as the starting QB for the Madmen for the upcoming weeks. The Madmen hope some of their players high scoring totals can continue as the season goes on and the playoff race begins to heat up.

Next week the Madmen will host the Oklahoma City Stampede. The Stampede come in with a record of 4-3-0 while the Madmen have a record of 3-4-0. If the Madmen can win this week and get to .500 it will put them in strong position for a playoff push.
